Due to the unfolding situation with the coronavirus pandemic, the HUB will not be taking place until it is safe to go back to our usual routines.
The Hub is a social club for 8 to 14 year olds, which meets from 19:00-21:00 every Friday at St John's Church Hall, 38b Estcourt Road, Watford.
We provide a fun environment for our young people to relax and let off some steam at the beginning of the weekend. At The Hub we have Xbox games, table football, Wii, music, pool, air hockey, crafts, board games, lego and a well-stocked tuck shop serving snacks and drinks. We have a great games room upstairs where you can be as loud as you want and a quiet downstairs area where you can just sit and chat. It's a great way to spend time with your friends and meet new people your own age. The Hub is always staffed with four responsible adults lead by Alex, who rounds the evening up with Circle Time, an opportunity to discuss a topic or plan different events or activities with the young people before going home.
The Hub finishes at 21:00 and we ask all parents or guardians to arrive just before 9pm so we can handover your children on time. Subs are 50p per week and you will need to bring a little bit of money for the tuck shop.Parents will be asked to fill out a registration form the first time your child arrives. These will be periodically updated when needed. Please contact us if you have any questions or wish to know more about The Hub on Fridays.
I really enjoy The Hub, meeting my friends and playing games with everyone; its a great way to end the week, and start the weekend.
