Vicar
Fr David Stevenson

Fr David Stevenson Father David was born and grew up in Christchurch, New Zealand, and found his way to England after finishing his studies and travelling the world with a group of friends. Before training for the Priesthood at St Stephen's House at the University of Oxford, he worked for the NHS for many years as a Registered Nurse. Father David arrived at St John's Church as Priest in Charge in 2011, after serving as Assistant Priest in the Parish of St John the Baptist, Timberhill and at the Lady Julian Shrine in Norwich. He is keen to ensure St John's is a shining beacon of Anglo-catholicity in central Watford, which welcomes everyone with the full and inclusive love that comes from Christ and is at the heart of our Christian Faith.
